"La science sans la religion est boiteuse, la religion sans la science est aveugle"

Simplified Meaning:

Science and religion need each other to be complete and effective. Imagine trying to walk with only one leg. Science is like one leg and religion like the other; if you use only one, you can't move forward properly. For example, science can explain how the world works, like how plants grow or how our bodies function, but it doesn’t tell us why we should care or how to find meaning in life. Religion, on the other hand, can give us values and purpose but might not explain how things actually work in the physical world. Think about a doctor who can cure illnesses through scientific knowledge but also gives comfort and hope to their patients through compassionate words. If the doctor only had the medical knowledge without the care and kindness, their treatment wouldn’t be as effective. Conversely, just giving comfort without actual medical treatment wouldn’t heal the sick. By combining both perspectives, people can live more balanced and fulfilling lives, understanding both the how and the why of the world around them.
