“Don't get so tolerant that you tolerate intolerance”
— Bill Maher
Simplified Meaning:
We should be open and accepting of different opinions and behaviors, but we shouldn't accept harmful or unfair actions. For example, imagine everyone on a bus is being respectful and polite to each other. Now, if one person starts being rude or bullying others, it's important for the rest of the passengers to not just ignore it. Allowing someone to be mean or unfair actually hurts everyone in the long run. If no one stands up to unfair behavior, the bus ride becomes uncomfortable for everyone. So, it's good to be kind and understanding, but there are times when we need to draw the line to keep things fair and safe for everyone.
