Simplified Meaning:

When you do things only for yourself without thinking about others, it's generally seen as wrong. For example, if you take all the cookies from a shared plate without considering if others want some, that's selfish and considered bad behavior. On the other hand, if you share those cookies with others, even if it means you get less, that's unselfish and seen as good behavior. Doing things for others and thinking about their needs is what people consider being moral or right. Helping a friend with their homework because you care about their success is a good action, whereas ignoring them because you want all the attention is not. Basically, being kind and considerate towards others is the right thing to do.
