"人は、自分が何であるかが分子であり、自分自身をどう思うかが分母である分数のようなものである。"

Simplified Meaning:

Imagine a fraction in math, like 3/4. The top number (numerator) is what you see on the outside - this is who a person actually is. The bottom number (denominator) is what a person thinks about themselves on the inside. If someone is very good at something, like a great singer (the top number), but they don't believe in their talents (the bottom number is bigger), the fraction becomes smaller, like 1/5, making them seem less impressive. On the other hand, if they think a lot of themselves but aren't really that skilled, the fraction also stays small because the top number is not as good as they believe. So, to really shine (having a high fraction), both what you are and how you view yourself should be balanced. For instance, if you are a good student and also believe in your abilities, your true worth is visible to others. This encourages people to work on both their skills and confidence.
