Simplified Meaning:

When you choose not to get involved in a fight between people in charge and people without power, you're actually helping the powerful people, not staying out of it. Imagine a schoolyard where a big, tough kid is bullying a smaller, weaker kid. If you just walk by and don't do anything, you're not really being neutral. By not stepping in to help the smaller kid, you're indirectly letting the bully continue his behavior. In history, there have been many times when staying silent didn't help those in need. During civil rights movements, for example, if someone didn't speak up against unfair laws and treatment, they were basically supporting the unfair system by not opposing it. In your life, this means if you see something unfair happening, like someone being treated badly at work, and you say nothing and do nothing, you're supporting the people doing the bad thing. To really be fair and just, it's important to speak up or take action against wrongs, even if it's uncomfortable.
